Happy Father's Day!

The beauty of buttons is that they are great for any occasion. Daddy's Day is no exception. Using a pre-printed stock design I made this button for my husband. Our son "presented" it to him and, this is a shocker if you know my husband, he WORE it out to brunch! It was so much fun tosee him proudly wearing his special button. Custom designs can also be done for those times when you want something totally unique.

To Pin or to Pocket Mirror? That Is the Question

One of my favorite things to do is make cross stitch initials (monograms). Once the stitching is done I press it into either a pocket mirror or a pinback button that can be worn. I mainly do these for gifts but I have sold a few. I want to do one for a very special lady that has been a huge inspiration to me on so many levels. The problem? I don't know if I should do a pin or a mirror for her, and I don't really want to ask because I want it to be a surprise. What to do, what to do?

This is a sample of the cross stitch initials.
with the pinback

with the mirror back...

So, should I just ask the recipient which one they'd prefer?

"New Edition" To The Lineup

I had this idea to make magnets using fetal ultrasound images for moms-to-be and their families to enjoy and display. This one has a gender neutral background, but the tradition blue/pink is also available. These would be cool to collect throughout the pregancy, and would be a great keepsake forever. Thanks Crystal for lettin me use your ultrasound image to create the design. :)

My First Entry & New Client!

This is kind of embarassing to admit, but I have had this blog set up for about a year and this is my first post! I hope I am doing this right. :)

Over the weekend I had fun creating buttons for a soon-to-be official charity called Hope-Heals. It is run by two extraordinary women, Karla and Amy. I am a huge fan of what they do and doing buttons for them was a great pleasure for me. If you would like more info check them out at http://www.hope-heals.org This is the button we created out of a design submitted by Amy.
I have also completed the new and improved pricing structure. More info on that to come!
